Enormous Vocal Ensemble (EVE) returns to The Black-E, Liverpool - a space long associated with creativity and change. This edition is conceived and directed by Jennifer John, who is delighted to welcome Cleopatra as the guest artist.
EVE is a one-of-a-kind live singing experience in which the audience becomes an instant choir. Lead by Jennifer John, EVE brings together voices from all walks of life to create empowering immersive choral experience.
The concept is built on trust and collaboration. A song by an established female artist is agreed upon, and Jennifer creates a secret vocal arrangement that nobody gets to hear until the day of the live event. The result is a powerful performance which celebrates the strength found in collective voices.
This iteration of EVE is hosted in celebration of International Women's Day, and features female pioneers of the UK Music Scene, Cleopatra.
(Cleopatra Bio)
For this event, Jennifer will create a new choral arrangement of Nobody Said, written specifically in response to the song and for the voices present in the room. Together, Jennifer and Cleopatra explore how individual artistry and collective voice can sit alongside one another.
This event is an exciting opportunity for the audience to explore their voices in a dynamic, fully supportive atmosphere. Using physical, and vocal warm up exercises, a variety of original and contemporary repertoire, the aim is to find the joy, strength and energy evoked by singing with others while discovering the colour and expression in each of our voices.
The event concludes with a Q&A, and the experience is filmed as part of the ongoing EVE Documentary Series.
