Love Sings

A worldwide community of singers unite in a powerful musical collaboration supporting two Liverpool charities.

Love Sings was a global virtual choir project conceived and designed by Jennifer John during the COVID pandemic, bringing together 180 participants from across 15 different countries at a time when communal singing had disappeared from public life.

Inspired by Jennifer’s original song Love Sings, the project invited singers from around the world to record their voices remotely, creating a powerful collective performance despite physical separation.

Developed in collaboration with Parr Street Studios and Zut Media Productions, the project became a multi-award-winning film that captured something deeply human: how creativity and collective singing can still create connection, warmth and emotional closeness even in moments of global isolation.

At its heart, Love Sings demonstrated that when voices come together, even across distance, people can still feel seen, supported and connected through the shared act of singing.

The project received multiple awards, including:

Liverpool City Region Culture and Creativity Awards 2020 - Impact Award for COVID-19 Individual Response

AIM Independent Music Awards 2021 - Local Hero Award (in association with BBC Music Introducing)
